Going in I was sure I was gonna do a Smash Bros Comic. I may do one next week but the game that caught my eye at E3 was Splatoon. Barring the somewhat lackluster on foot sections in Star Fox Assault, I didn't think Nintendo could do a team shooter but there you go. A lot of people have already made the obvious Mario Sunshine jokes but have forgotten gaming's other beloved cephalopod.

What was your game of E3?
TheMightyBox edit delete
Splatoon is one of the Nintendo games announced at E3 that I'm looking forward to most, it has a unique premise and cool looking characters and it's very visually distinct.
(In comparison to something like Xenoblade which looks like every other JRPG- I MEAN-)

I don't know who the average schmup in the last panel is though. Dude's got a really boring character design.
He just looks like someone's DAD.

But alas, poor psychiatry couch, your return was far too short.

The game where you, the audience, try and figure out what color the next couch will be and how long it will survive.
Here are the current standings:
Original red- 2 comics- blown up by a creeper.
Gold- 11 comics- crushed by Bowser.
Black leather- 11 comics- glitched into unusable condition by Missingno.
Green- 3 comics- rendered unusable by Master Belch and burned offpanel by Roger.
Burgundy- 4 comics- used by Peter Puppy to beat Roger over the head.
Blue-Gray- 11 comics- dyed a permanent orange by an Inkling.

Poor Giga, only off by 3 comics.

Who's that man with the three-piece suit?

Actually, to be honest, I'd never heard of Octodad before Guybrush sent me the script. It. Is. Glorious. Seriously, if that game didn't earn any Game of the Year awards I'd be disappointed.

Also, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse looks neat. I was a big fan of Kirby: Canvas Curse, and not too many games have a clay-animated style! The only one I can think of off the top of my head is The Neverhood. So I think it's going to be great!

I played Octodad: Dadliest Catch yesterday. The simplest tasks have never been so hard! @_@

and to answer your question: I'm equally excited for Yoshi's Wooly World, and the new Zelda game announced at E3.

"Guess we'll have to make our own!"
JokerJay779 (Guest) edit delete reply
Hope nobody takes that pose Octodad is doing in the wrong way.

For reasons of the first thing I saw of him being a zetta ugly image, I can't stand the guy introduced in the sixth panel, I'm not even going to type his name. Tends to be how I learn to hate things, and it sticks.
I'm excited for Splatoon, but I can't control myself (in the best ways) around Yoshi. Not sure if I wanna do co-op or forcibly solo it, I guess I'll get to that when I get to that.

After playing the first three Sly Cooper games, I seem to be completely unfazed that Carmelita Fox is trying to shoot a young girl with a tazer.
Hurricane edit delete reply
Ohhhhh, that's a TASER!? Well gee ain't that just sunshiney pleasant dipped in chocolate and topped with whipped cream and sprinkles. (Obvious sarcasm is obvious)
Planetbox (Guest) edit delete reply
Well it's technically a shock pistol, but is there really a difference? I imagine they are used for the same purpose, at least during normal police work.
Aslandus (Guest) edit delete reply
I guess they were going for another cephalopod rather than looking for someone else obsessed with paint...
NiGHTcapD (Guest) edit delete reply
Well, they both seem to have huge problems fitting into society. I dunno past that for the other guy.
ZephyrCrobat edit delete reply
Hmm... As far as how long the new orange couch survives, I'll say seven comics.

Also, my game from E3 was Sunset Overdrive. Looks like Infamous ate a barrel full of Skittles and this is its weird baby.

What is Dawn doing in this comic?

Also I have a suggestion for the next comic.

(Hint: It's legend of Zelda!)
ZephyrCrobat edit delete reply
Dawn thought she caught a new species of Pokèmon while she's holding the inkling in squid forme. After all, she's still new to Light City.
DryKirby64 edit delete reply
It's a shiny Tentacool!
Blueflamingo (Guest) edit delete reply
Attually, I believe it's a shiny Inkay. :P
ZephyrCrobat edit delete reply
I don't think Dawn knows what an Inkay looks like.

She is from the Platinum storyline, and that takes place years before the events of X and Y.
Miyto (Guest) edit delete reply
Black mage will smash it in drunken rage, as it's coloration brought forth an unwanted revelation and perhaps 'it was looking at white mage funny'
Miyto (Guest) edit delete reply
Orange couch with purple pokedots - 3 comics
(Silly me forgetting this layout doesn't show the comment title section. )
DarkAura (Guest) edit delete reply
A taser? For Carmelita? Please, she's gotta have her huge shock pistol. It's, like, her item. Like Sly's cane is to Sly.
DarkAura (Guest) edit delete reply
Wait it is her shock pistol. Whoops, ha ha.
DryKirby64 edit delete reply
I haven't played a lot of Sly Fox - always been more of a Ratchet & Clank person myself. I just looked up the wiki page for Carmelita and drew based off of the article's image. I think that's how she looks in the newest game.

(By the way; don't look up Carmelita on Google Images. You'll cry.)
DryKirby64 edit delete reply
And I just noticed I seriously put "Sly Fox" and that shows you how much I know. I must have mixed it up with Spy Fox in: Dry Cereal.
Altoclarinetist edit delete reply
Huh, what does that guy in the suit have in common with the girl anyway? He looks so ordinary.

I love that there is an implied support group for characters with angry eyebrows. You guys have that spark of imagination that comes up with stuff like that. I bet the next couch is hideous because their couch budget is pretty well depleted. It'll be chartreuse with puce stripes.
Koopario edit delete reply
Wow no one's actually guessing which couch will be used next.

I guess purple, for 7 comics.
ZephyrCrobat edit delete reply
Well, the blue-gray couch was only dyed orange. Maybe they won't switch out the couch and just keep the new coloration.

It would explain why Guybrush and the others haven't guessed on the color.
TheMightyBox edit delete reply
Guybrush and the others haven't commented because THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW.
Koopario edit delete reply
...and that's why we guess. To at least try.
C'mon, Guybrush, Giga. Surely one of you has SOME idea!

I'm still sticking with my prediction.
Hurricane edit delete reply
Aww, poor Splatoon girl-squid-thing... btw I'M STILL ALIVE EVERYONE!!!!!! And I'd think the new couch would be orange because that's the color she painted it.... but idk. keep up the good work!
ColissionWithBob (Guest) edit delete reply
Oh, Wow. The end is a little Strange, but... It's funny.
MartyMcMuffin edit delete reply
Octo Dad would be the perfect father for the orange inkling!!
