This one was actually written by DryKirby64 a while back. So basically, this is the first Level 30 comic I had nothing to do with. Heck, I couldn't even shrink it down to size right and had to get Kobayen to do it.

Beat the Beat (or Rhythm Heaven to most) is one of those game that's impossible for me as it requires a sense of rhythm, something I don't have. You may as well give me a game that requires the D-pad, Analogue stick and buttons of the N64 to play. I love the music and style but I just can't play it.

You sure is press A to diagnose, or to facepalm?

Rythm games... I actually do good at them. But I find them SO BORING. No challenge, just click with time. I dont see the appeal on them.

Dry did a good job.

That's not a facepalm, she's ... er ... concentrating ... really hard on a ... um ... psychic power. Yeah, that's it.

Yeah, guess that would be an issue of living in a rhythm-based world...
Love rhythm games and Rhythm Heaven :D

So, who else turned the volume up thinking this was some kind of interactive page?

I think I'm reading too much xkcd.

I've always been more a fan of Remix 10 for some strange, obscure and Internet-unrelated reason...

I watch the parodies of the Interview mini-game pretty often.

I've never seen a gif on comic fury! But then again, this is the only site I've visited on comic fury.
Seri/Kirby IS a huge rythym heaven fan. It doesn't surprise me that she wrote this script.
Good job, everyone that helped!

I too am terrible at rhythm. I could never beat that race against Boshi in Super Mario RPG or get combos in Mother 3.
Drackon edit delete reply
Wait, BOSHI?! What kind of name is that? A Birdo-Yoshi cross breed?
Drackon edit delete reply
This sounds like a Tidus line from FFX.

Boshi is like a Wayoshi. A bad boy Yoshi with a design that matches. He even has styling shades.

I know the feeling. I bought Rhythm Heaven because everyone told me it was great. I have poor rhythm, so I am terrible at it. Now, the only way for me to reach the end of the game is when the Barista at the in-game café takes pity on me and unlocks the next mini-game after I failed the current one too many times. Well, at least I found it for 5 bucks, not 35, that's already better.

I actually reviewed that game a few months ago for my site, I explained that I didn't like it but saw why so many people enjoyed it. Seriously though, you only unlock one mini-game at a time. Progression in that game is a chore.

I downloaded a free "rhythm" type game on my ipad. I played it for a few minutes before it got old then deleted it. I guess it ain't my thang.
