Intresting note: This comic was the first one writen and the first one drawn back when I was doing the art solo. In fact thats why Gardevoir is the main character, I could drawn Pokemon but not humans. You can see it here but be warned, it's done in pencil.

At the insistence of my cousin (who is AWESOME btw, love you Sarah!), I started playing Minecraft a few months after I met Guybrush. I stopped sometime during the 1.6 beta. Sure, the game's fun, but it requires a lot of patience and time to get the most out of it -- two things which are currently spent enduring school-related obstacles. Likewise, my RPG games like Glory to Heracles and Golden Sun: Dark Dawn are suffering some serious disuse.

Anyways, from here on out nearly every comic will have a 6-panel format -- this maximizes how much content we can fit in without becoming overbearing. It looks nice, don'tcha think?

...And I'm gonna warn you right now: Gardevoir's room going to change colors multiple times. We had a pretty hard time deciding on the exact shades of white-gray we wanted... and we still haven't decided, now that I think about it.

**First person to notice the massive coloring error in this comic wins a prize.**

I didn't color this.
Nor do I play Minecraft.
So... there are massive white areas in the creeper's feet in all panels.
Where's my prize?

Sorry, Box. Creepers have toenails. :P

But they are a darker version of the regular skin pattern.
At least from what I've seen.

Oh, I love the nerdiness.

In the last panel. The part of the explosion that was covered by the text bubble has no outline.

Sorry, can't edit. To clarify, I made the comment above.

That was actually an error with the lineart, rather than the coloring, but nice try! ;)

Once I get past the art... XDDD Omg...

I died laughing this one to be honest... I LOVE the jokes. Keep it up!

If you don't mind me asking, what about the art was offsetting to you? I'm always open to advice! ;)

...HEY WAIT A MINUTE aren't you the one who does the Visual Diary comics? I'm a fan of your work! Thanks for checking us out! :D

I guess it's just that the art feels slightly unpolished? Like the lines could be neater/complete...? XD... I'm usually one to be drawn to "OMG EYEGASMIC ARTS".
(I really should have no right to complain since all my strips are "sketchbook-quality" stuff sans the Saturday art)
I will say this: I can still recognize the characters, so I'm not wholly fussing. I don't there's much to change really-- the art will get better as time goes on.

@_@ Meep. I talk too much. But yeah, I'm the artist/author of Visual Diary of My Life. X3 I'm glad you enjoy my work... odd I ran into a fan while skimming for comics to read. XD

I don't have access to a tablet, so I draw everything in pencil and then beef it up with Photoshop. That probably explains most of your concerns. ;)

Also, I have to learn how to draw characters on the fly from a myriad of different games, series, genres, and companies -- polishing each character design to perfection would take too much time, and I feel that I'm doing a quite acceptable job given the circumstances.

Also, this first batch of comics was drawn about 7-4 months ago, so you'll see a drastic improvement in quality in a few weeks!

I rather enjoy your art style: a blend of anime/manga and girly cartooning, which comes off as an ideal combination of detail and simplicity. In other words, cute yet engaging.

Ah, I see. Yeah that explains it all really. X3

I meant unpolished in the lineart/art, not character design (the fact that the characters can be recognized is good). But I guess the pen looking lines gives the comic a bit of its charm as well at the moment. Again design/art stuff comes with time. No webcomic looks extremely spiffy in the beginning. X3

Yay! :3 Well I'm still here. I might not comment on everything, but I'll certainly be looking forward to more.

Edit: Thank you! :3

Gardevoir's mid-section is the same colour as the background in Panel 1...

"Roll, please order some Plexiglass blast shields for our next explosive patient."

It's a great thing for your comic inhabitants that death is pretty much meaningless when extra lives grow everywhere or are a natural attribute.
