This isn't my best comicwork. Starting next comic, the lineart should look much better!

The Legend of Zelda makes up a sizeable chunk of my childhood. I remember that I rented Ocarina of Time when I was about 7 or 8, and it contained someone else's save file. I started out in a zombie-infested Hyrule Town, and proceeded to get raped in the face by Redeads. Extremely scarring, let me tell you! XD

I somehow escaped and made my way to (what I assume to be) Gerudo Valley. There was a canyon that I wanted to get across, and I had a chicken in my inventory, so I kept on pulling out the chicken hoping that it'd let me fly across the gap! Of course, it didn't work, but it made perfect sense to a Pokemon-playing 7 year old, yes?

Oh, and Wind Waker is one of the best games ever. 'Nuff said!

Anyways, I'm proud to introduce our next major character: Roger Wilco, the space janitor! He's the protagonist of Sierra's old Space Quest games, and I can assure you that he will find many, many new ways to humorously die now that he's on Venatus Prime. Give a big hand for the hospital's head janitor!

Typical game protagonists: quiet, one or two close friends, cushy life suddenly upended, need to face the real world... Developers know their target audience.

Other terrible puns for the title included: The Missing Link, Ocarina of Whine

The Link in this picture is one of the first things I ever colored for this comic, actually.
Maybe second to Gardevoir, but that's not here or there, nor is it?
I actually made two or three different browns for the various things Link has about him, I recall it being more than the two, though.
And seeing as how multiple lives are so common within gaming, we're allowed to kill a character in as many gruesome ways as we please.

Dr. Gardevoir
It’s surprisingly common for protagonists to never speak a word. This may be due to trauma induced coping mechanisms, simple social awkwardness or a lack of voice acting. The baffling thing is that this never seems to impede their ability to communicate, go shopping or win the hearts of princesses. Whether they are able to express themselves with subtle body language or some silent language is a hot topic for debate. The majority are accompanied by friends or relatives who are able to speak for them, perhaps I should have Link’s companion in the room the next time.

D-D-Doc? I know you've managed to break the language barrier, but breaking the Fourth Wall on top of that? (O_O;)

I am possibly extremely tired and/or high right now.
I'm going to go to sleep now, and if that comment is still up by the time I get back, then I'll officially be scared s***less.
Hey, wait a second, since when did the doc start working on this?
Freakin' freeloader, she hasn't done a thing since joining.

he may be a mute, but that doesn't change the fact that he is arguably the best protagonist.

well well well, I've heard of this comic, but I never knew you guys made a webpage :D

So this makes sence since Link doesn't speak besides....HIA HA SHHEAH! Hope to see more in the future.

Wow, this is definitely one of my favourites so far!

Can't Gardevoir just use telepathy to read his thoughts and intentions? ;)
Guybrush20X6 edit delete reply
Not one of Gardevoir's powers.

The Ralts line can read emotions and form mind links with their trainers but can't read the exact thoughts of random strangers. Certain other Psychic Pokemon can but they don't have a doctorate.

This is why navi needs to be present at these sessions.

I think the fact that they stopped using classic characters makes it harder to understand the comic

One could argue that Link is a mute in some games, but he clearly yells in all of the 3D iterations.

He does have plenty of problems, though. He always has to save the world before he has finished with puberty, he has to get married and have kids to ensure that a descendant can become the next Hero Of Time, his few friends often berate him for any action, and wow it really sucks to be Link.

I've only read this far so far, but I'm really enjoying the comic! I love the concept, and the interpretations of different characters and their quirks, it's very clever! :D
Also, I'm sorry to hear that the artists/mods are going through hard times; I wish all the best to you guys!

994 bottles of milk on the wall, 994 bottles of milk, take one down, pass it around, 993 bottles of milk on the wall.
